In your latter post, you cite the Wizard of Oz as you talk about "what they've got that I haven't got". In this one you cite your favorite move and debate Clarence's words about having friends. In the Oz movie, the Wizard tells the tin man "a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others". I likewise wonder about that one, especially in your (now former, I guess) prison setting. But, I thought, maybe the Wizard could be right after all. He didn't guarantee where the love would come from. Or when. Just as Clarence didn't mention to George where his friends would come from.<br /><br />I don't believe that love or friendship is owed. We don't necessarily get love or friendship from the same people we give to, though it happens sometimes. Of course we all have times when we do something for someone and they may never know who did it or maybe even that anything was done.<br /><br />Just a thought or two I felt like expressing, as long as your blog was still up.Billynoreply@blogger.com
